What is Grassfish to you?

Grassfish is so much more to me than a workplace, I get a lot of energy from coming to the office, and I see my colleagues as my friends. I think we have a very lovely atmosphere and environment here. Even if I may have had a bad start to the day, I always feel better when I step into the office!

Describe your Grassfish journey and how your role looks like today

I knew nothing about tech or IT when I started here 4 years ago. My first position was as a CX manager that quickly turned into a Project Manager which then evolved into a Squad Leader role. I also had the chance to work as a Key Account Manager for a few months within the sales team. My feeling is really that you have the chance to try out many different positions within the company if you're open to it. I even decided to spread my wings outside of Grassfish but felt after just a few weeks that I wanted to come back, a decision I haven't regretted a day since.

As a "boomerang," what motivated your decision to return to Grassfish?

I almost immediately felt how much I missed my job, my colleagues, and especially the culture we have here at Grassfish. It's hard to put a finger on it but very clear once you're here. Grassfish is a company where everything is possible and that drives me, and I really enjoy being in a workplace where new things are happening all the time.

What excites you most about the Digital In-store industry?

It's an industry in constant development. And you always learn new things. For my own part, since Digital In-store is applicable to all retailers, it means that in my role, I get the opportunity to work with so many different types of industries and brands.

What motivates you in your work?

I am motivated by meeting other people who inspire me, a colleague, customer, or leader/speaker. I also get a lot of motivation from creating and delivering solutions and concepts that really make a difference for our customers. I am competitive and like to achieve our clear and high ambition goals and visions.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

To dare to listen to myself and believe in myself, and less in what others say.
