What is Grassfish to you?
Grassfish is a place where I enjoy the freedom to explore solutions, tools, and technologies. As a solution-oriented person, I value the opportunity to drive initiatives, experiment with proofs of concept, and work across a wide range of opportunities. The constant challenges here inspire me, fuel my motivation, and keep me striving to deliver my best.

Describe your Grassfish journey and how your role looks like today.
I have been with Grassfish for a year, yet it already feels like I’ve been part of the team for much longer. I joined as Head of Quality Assurance with a focus on building test automation, enhancing processes, and improving testing strategies. I’m glad my role fully utilises my skills, and I’m excited about our move towards AI-driven solutions to optimise time and effort.

What has been your biggest highlight since joining Grassfish?
My biggest highlight has been the collaboration and support from the QA team. I truly feel proud to be the Head of this team—they are reliable, proactive, and always show up when it matters. Their dedication enables me to move faster with solutions and drive meaningful results. I believe that the success of a lead depends on the team, and vice versa—you need the right people around you to achieve the right outcomes.

How do you live our core values?
As an Automation Architect, I believe simplicity is key - as by our core value "Make it simple". A framework should be easy to understand, maintain, and scale so that anyone on the team can work with it confidently. By breaking down complex problems into clear, manageable steps, we make our solutions more effective and ensure faster adoption across teams.
Additionally, for me, "Dare to Challenge" is at the heart of quality assurance. QAs are known for questioning assumptions, exploring edge cases, and identifying gaps that others might overlook. Challenging the status quo—respectfully and constructively—helps us innovate, improve processes, and deliver products that truly meet user needs.

What excites you most about the digital in-store industry?
This is the first time that I worked with this domain. So, when I saw the advertisements in real, for example at Airport Vienna, that gave me the feeling of "Oh yeah, we create the products for this!", that’s where my interest developed. It’s ability to seamlessly blend the technology with real life experiences.

What advice would you give your younger self?
Don’t try to fit in everywhere—focus on finding your tribe. Surround yourself with people who share your values, inspire you, and challenge you to grow. When you’re in the right environment, your potential is amplified, and growth happens naturally and faster.

What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is the freedom to innovate and design solutions that improve quality and efficiency. I enjoy exploring new tools, technologies, and approaches to test automation, and seeing them translate into faster, more reliable results. Working with a talented QA team that is supportive, reliable, and always ready to collaborate makes the process even more fulfilling.
