Job description
As Squad Leader, you take overall responsibility for one of our customer-focused squads in Vienna. Your squad brings together different disciplines to design, build and continuously improve outstanding digital in-store solutions for leading brands.
This role is about creating the right conditions for great work: clear direction, strong collaboration, customer understanding, structured delivery and commercial focus. You will lead the squad in turning customer needs and ideas into high-quality solutions that are not only well delivered, but also inspiring and valuable for the customer’s business.
You act as a trusted partner for customers and internal stakeholders, combining project leadership, commercial thinking, digital delivery expertise and creative problem-solving. You ensure that the squad has the clarity, focus and structure needed to deliver exceptional results.
This position is a parental leave cover and offered as a fixed-term contract, initially for one year.
Key responsibilities
Lead an interdisciplinary squad of creative and technical experts in its daily work and long-term development.
Translate customer needs, business goals and creative ideas into clear priorities, scopes and actionable plans.
Manage customer projects, retainers, timelines, budgets, risks, priorities and deliverables.
Bridge customer expectations and development teams to ensure smooth communication, realistic planning and strong delivery quality.
Ensure smooth collaboration between customers, internal stakeholders and squad members.
Manage expectations, priorities and change requests in a structured and solution-oriented way.
Track effort, budgets and billable project work to ensure commercial control and transparency.
Identify commercial opportunities, customer needs and potential upsell initiatives.
Follow up on squad performance, budget, delivery quality and customer satisfaction.

We are now looking for Squad leader with following qualifications and experiences.
Strong project management skills, including experience managing complex initiatives, timelines, budgets, risks and stakeholders.
Experience managing IT, software development or digital product delivery projects.
Solid understanding of software development processes and the ability to bridge customer needs and development teams.
Experience with agile delivery models such as Kanban, including moderation of team rituals, backlog prioritization, scoping and estimation.
Commercial mindset with the ability to identify customer needs, business opportunities and value-creating initiatives.
Experience with budgeting, effort tracking and managing billable project work.
Experience leading or coordinating interdisciplinary teams in creative, digital, consulting, product or technology environments.
Ability to create clarity, motivate people and enable teams to deliver outstanding work.
Strong communication skills and confidence in customer dialogues at both strategic and operational levels.
A good sense for customer experience, digital solutions and what makes work truly stand out.
Structured, proactive and solution-oriented way of working.
Understanding of digital products, software delivery, retail technology or customer experience solutions.
Strong sense of ownership, self-initiative and the ability to work independently in a dynamic international environment
Fluent English and German skills (minimum C1)

Legal note for Austria
The position is full-time and located to the office in Vienna. According to our collective agreement, the minimum salary is €4,061 gross per month based on full-time employment (38.5 hours/week). The final compensation is based on your qualifications and experience and will be discussed accordingly.
